Privacy
The short version: I collect almost nothing, I sell exactly nothing, and the most invasive thing this site does is remember whether you left rave mode on. Details below.
1. What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy describes how adamyoung.com (the "Site") handles information when you visit. It covers this Site only. My companies are separate entities with their own policies; if you use Ringba, see Ringba's Privacy Policy.
2. What I Collect
Contact form. If you write to me, I collect what you send: your name, email address, and message. That's the only personal information the Site asks for.
Analytics. The Site may use standard web analytics that record aggregate, non-identifying usage: pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and how you found the Site. I use this to understand what people read, not who they are.
Local storage. The Site stores one small flag in your browser to remember your rave mode preference. It never leaves your device, and it is exactly as fun as it sounds.
3. What I Do With It
I use contact form submissions to reply to you and for whatever follow-up you asked for. I use analytics to improve the Site. That's the complete list.
4. What I Never Do
I don't sell your personal information. I don't rent it, trade it, or share it with third parties for their marketing. I don't run ads on this Site. I don't build profiles of you. If that ever changes, this policy will change first and loudly.
5. Third-Party Services
The Site links out to platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Tidal, YouTube, Amazon, and Audible. Once you leave the Site, their privacy practices apply, not mine. Embedded or linked media may set their own cookies when you interact with it on their platforms.
6. Data Retention
Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation and reasonable business records, then deleted. Aggregate analytics contain no personal information and may be kept indefinitely.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information you've sent me. The process here is refreshingly simple: use the contact page and ask, and I'll handle it.
8. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS and collects the minimum possible. No method of transmission or storage is 100 percent secure, but keeping almost nothing is the best security policy there is.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, contact me and I'll delete it.
10. Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The current version always lives at this URL with the date below.
